South Seas Island Resort reopening in Florida - 2007-03-12

The South Seas Island Resort is reopening in Captiva Island, FL after an 18 month long renovation project undertaken by the forced closure of the hotel, due to Hurricane Charley. The resort features 485 guest rooms and suites on a 330-acre property, with 2 ½ miles of beach and numerous amenities.

The resort features 25,000 square feet of flexible event space, both on indoor and outdoor sites. The newest addition to the hotel is a 5,000 square foot ballroom, the third largest after the 15,000 square foot ballroom. The hotel also features 24 meeting rooms, all equipped with in-house audiovisual equipment and high-speed internet.
