The Sheraton Nashville Downtown has completed an extensive, $35 million redesign, and will now join four other U.S. properties in the brand's exclusive "Grand" category. The renovation included upgrades to guest rooms, an expansion of the meeting space to 30,000 square feet, a remodeled fitness center, and a new penthouse event space called Skye, which overlooks Music City. Formerly known as Pinnacle, Skye will offer 360-degree views of downtown from its rooftop on the 28-story building. Serving as a centerpiece: a tank full of 150 jellyfish.
The Library Bar features local flavors of Tennessee, with a menu that promises southern sophistication, and boasts a collection of more than 50 kinds of bourbon. Broadway Kitchen offers a more casual comfort cuisine in a modern setting.
"JRK is proud to have Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown at the forefront of the widely esteemed Sheraton Grand category," said Jim Lippman, chairman and chief executive officer of JRK Property Holdings. "We have invested significantly in both the physical design as well as the guest experience to dramatically shift the perception of Sheraton with today's modern traveler."
By joining the Sheraton Grand collection, it joins dozens of properties throughout Asia-Pacific, Europe, as well as Africa and the Middle East that promise what the brand calls "the highest levels of design and service."
Brian McGuinness, senior vice president and global brand leader for Sheraton, Marriott Hotels, and Delta Hotels emphasized that "The Sheraton Grand designation highlights our standout hotels in terms of exceptional product, service, and guest experience, and we couldn't be more excited to award the Sheraton Nashville Downtown with this exemplary designation."
