The Sheraton Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, Colo., has competed a $20 million renovation, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts announced last week. Finished just in time for the start of the 2008-2009 ski season, the property-wide improvements include newly designed guest rooms, a refurbished lobby and updated meeting rooms.
"We are incredibly excited to showcase an entirely new guest experience through this comprehensive and exciting renovation of the Sheraton Steamboat Resort," General Manager John Curnow said in a statement. "Guests will see, feel and taste a new Sheraton Steamboat Resort, just in time for the start of the new ski season."
As part of its renovations, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort updated its meeting rooms—it has 17 of them, including a 6,300-square-foot grand ballroom—and outfitted its lobby with its new "Link@Sheraton" concept, which functions as a tech-savvy lounge where guests can check their e-mail, research local attractions and print airline boarding passes using free Wi-Fi and Internet-enabled computer stations.
Improvements to the hotel's 213 guest rooms, meanwhile, included the addition of new furniture, decor and bedding, as well as the installation of new LCD flat-panel televisions.
