Serafina Beach Hotel Opens In San Juan

The 96-room property is the first to open in San Juan this year

Serafina Beach Hotel opened today in the Condado District of San Juan, Puerto Rico, not only the first hotel to open in the city this year but also the first hotel venture of Serafina Restaurant Group

The property offers 96 guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the Atlantic Ocean or the adjacent Laguna del Condado, three new dining options including the signature aMare restaurant, the PiñaCo Bar, and By the Pool (the hotel's oceanfront infinity poolside lounge), as well as three private indoor-outdoor meeting and event spaces.

"Expanding the Serafina brand into a lifestyle hotel experience is a natural fit, and next step for my partner Fabio Granato and I," said Vittorio Assaf, Serafina Restaurant Group Co-Owner. "San Juan is a city close to our hearts, and we could think of no better place to bring to life the essence of Serafina in a hotel experience. We look forward to welcoming guests to our beautiful island, which is open for business. Serafina Beach Hotel really captures the energy of the Condado district with stylish lounges, sleek guest rooms, and signature Serafina hospitality."

The hotel was designed by New York-based design studio ICRAVE, using the ocean as inspiration, with tones of blue, "sea-glass greens, foam whites, and driftwood greys" throughout.

For groups, gathering spaces include the oceanfront aMare terrace, the Mediterranean ballroom, and the pool deck.

The hotel's Experience the Island concierge service will focus on the culture of Puerto Rico, with nightly kayak excursions in the neighboring Laguna, private helicopter tours, culinary experiences, and guided tours through the historic and colorful Old San Juan. Voluntourism programming is also available, connecting groups to the

local communities of Puerto Rico to help with post-Hurricane Maria rebuilding efforts.
