Marriott International has opened its 22nd hotel in China, the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central, it announced yesterday.
The hotel - China's seventh JW Marriott, and Beijing's second - is located in Xuanwumen, Beijing's ancient city core, where it's within walking distance of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and Xidan Commercial Centre. It has 412 guest rooms, three restaurants, a lounge, a health club and a glass-roof swimming pool on the hotel's top story, not to mention 8,200 square feet of meeting space, including a 2,600-square-foot pillar-free ballroom, nine function rooms and a 984-square-foot residential-style meeting venue known as the "Living Room."
"We are very excited to open the second JW Marriott hotel in Beijing," General Manager GP Yeow said in a statement. "With our superb location and contemporary facilities, JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central really is the ultimate destination for both executive retreats and leisure travelers to 'Live Like A Local' in the Chinese capital."
