Resorts World Casino Plans $400 Million Expansion

Resorts World Casino at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, NY, is planning a $400 million expansion that will include a 400-room hotel, 20,000-square-foot spa, and at least 140,000 square feet of convention and meeting space. Presently, Resorts World has 70,000 square feet of meeting space and more than 5,000 electronic gaming machines including slots, blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, as well as live music, boxing, comedy events, and fine dining. It opened in 2011.

If all goes as planned, groundbreaking will take place in the fall of this year, with an April 2019 anticipated opening date.
This expansion will take place on the west area of the site, which consists of a large expanse of surface parking, resulting in minimal disturbance to current operations. The site is currently being master-planned to accommodate future growth, according to Resorts World Casino officials. These future amenities could include additional hotels and an entertainment venue, as well as retail and mixed-use space.
