One of Dallas' largest hotels, the 30-story Renaissance Dallas Hotel, announced recently that it has started work on a multimillion-dollar renovation that will include not only remodeled guest rooms, a new restaurant and an updated lobby, but also the addition of more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
Already, several floors of renovated rooms are complete and in use, according to the hotel, with the remainder scheduled for completion this summer. They all feature black granite countertops, new bathroom floors, luxury bedding, WiFi and a 37-inch flat-panel television.
Later this year, the hotel will open the doors to the Renaissance Club Level and lounge on its renovated 27th floor. Next, by summer 2009, it will complete renovations on its lobby and on a new open-kitchen restaurant, as well as a rooftop viewing area that will have a garden and a putting green.
The hotel's final phase of renovations, which include expanding its meeting space to a total of 50,000 square feet and building a 16,000-square-foot ballroom, will be completed in 2010.
