Puerto Rico CVB Chief Resigns

The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau has announced that Ana Maria Viscasillas has resigned as president and CEO. In the interim, leading the bureau's day-to-day operations are Lisa Altieri, associate vice president of business development, and Alma Pedrosa, director of finance and administration.

In a released statement, the bureau expressed its gratitude for Viscasillas' work and for her contributions to Puerto Rico's tourism industry. The bureau has asked Viscasillas to stay on as a consultant to the PRCB's executive committee for six months to ensure the continuation of unspecified strategic projects.

"Rest assured that we are taking the necessary measures to continue servicing our members, clients, and allies," the PRCB statement read. "We remain true to our mission of promoting the island while securing groups, servicing clients, supporting our member-suppliers, and contributing to Puerto Rico's economic development."
