Portfolio Hotels & Resorts has been chosen to manage the Orchard Garden Hotel in San Francisco, making the hotel one of the first to comply with national standards for green buildings. The national standards, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, have been met by using chemical-free cleaning products, a 100% tobacco-free environment, recycled paper and soy-based inks. They also will debut a guestroom key card energy control system and have been recognized by San Francisco as a Green Business.
Meeting space demand in the hotel is met by the Rooftop Garden, with 500 sf, and an English Garden setting. The Executive Boardroom is outfitted with high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi access, plus flexible set-up options for up to 25 people.
