The 205-room Salishan Spa and Golf Resort in Gleneden Beach, OR, managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, is undergoing a renovation under new team leadership.
"This property is filled with history," says Steven Hurst, the new general manager of the resort. "It brings back great memories for many Oregonians and travelers throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are drawing on that history to craft the next era for the property."
The multi-million-dollar renovation includes upgrades to all guest rooms and public areas, which connects to the property's wooded setting. The resort is maintaining its commitment to artwork, retaining the paintings, sculptures, and creative installations that it has curated throughout its 50-year history.
Hurst and his team are currently crafting plans to enhance the resort's culinary experience, with a new chef and dining concept for the resort's signature restaurant in the works.
The property, located two hours outside of Portland on the Oregon Coast, features the 18-hole Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary golf course, indoor tennis facilities, a pool, spa, sauna, and fitness center. More than 16,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and several outdoor event venues can accommodate up to 300.
