Nashville's Radisson Hotel at Opryland, a Radisson franchise hotel that's owned and operated by Gaylord Hotels, has completed a $7 million renovation encompassing its 303 guest rooms, 16,000 square feet of meeting space and lobby, according to local media reports.
Originally announced in January, the top-to-bottom makeover also will include a new 200-seat restaurant, called Opry Backstage Grill, that will open in July, offering a mix of Southern cooking and live entertainment.
Intended to give the property a "more stylish and contemporary" look, the renovation included updated interiors with new fabrics, art and accessories, as well as new wall and window treatments, furniture, carpeting and bathroom fixtures.
"Everything has been touched," General Manager Pam Samaniego told local TV news station WSMV. "Our 303 guest rooms have brand-new wall texture, carpet and furniture. Our lobby has been updated, as well as the atrium. And even our indoor pool is now an eco-friendly ultraviolet system."
