Openings - California (South)

Riverside- The recently renovated Kelly's Spa at the Mission Inn now has an additional 1,000-sf of space in their Italian-style sanctuay, two new massage rooms, two therapeutic baths, and a woman's only relaxation room. The spa now has a total of 10 treatment rooms for the 239-room hotel's guests.

San Francisco- Recently completing a multi-million dollar renovation, the Embassy Suites Hotel-Lake Tahoe now has expanded meeting space (10,000-sf overall), wireless technology throughout the property, and an enhanced dining service for events.

Newport Beach- Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco announced in March 2006 its plans to renovate and redesign all of its 158 guest rooms and suites. New color palettes, beds and linens, and lighting are among the renovation plans. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2006.

Los Angeles- Kimpton Hotels has been selected to operate and assist in the conversion of the 297-room Doubletree Los Angeles-Westwood into a Hotel Palomar. The present hotel will officially close in the Summer of 2006 for an extensive remodeling of all guest rooms, an increase in suites, the addition of a new spa, and the launch of a Kimpton restuarant. Completion is scheduled for the summer of 2007.

San Diego- Construction is underway for the new Hilton San Diego Convention Center, a 30-story, 1,190-room hotel that will directly connect with the San Diego Convemtion Center. The hotel will have four food outlets and 165,000-sf of meeting space between its grand ballroom, junior ballroom, pre-function lobby space, and 32 meeting rooms and conference center. Completion is slated for late 2008.
