A new Marriott hotel -- Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach -- has opened in Phuket, Thailand, Marriott International announced this week.
Located on Nai Yang beach, where it's surrounded by tropical vegetation and the green forests of Thailand's Sirinat National Park, the new resort has 180 guest rooms, an open-air "Greatroom," two restaurants, a lagoon-inspired swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness center, a spa, 2,454 square feet of meeting space, including a 1,356-square-foot ballroom, a 753-square-foot breakout room, and a 344-square-foot boardroom.
"Phuket welcomes approximately 12 million visitors per year, mostly tourists from European and Asian countries," said General Manager David Ippersiel. "The opening of Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach, will address the needs of both local and international travelers."
The addition of Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach, increases Marriott's total portfolio in Thailand to 18 hotels.
