Omni to Spend $273 Million on Nashville HQ Hotel

A month after the city announced it as the project's official developer, Omni Hotels & Resorts has put a price tag on Nashville's planned convention center hotel, giving it an initial budget of $273 million, local newspaper The Tennessean reported last week.

Serving Nashville's new Music City Center convention center, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2013, the new Omni Nashville Hotel also will open in 2013, featuring at least 800 guest rooms and 60,000 square feet of meeting space, including two ballrooms, not to mention four restaurants and 560 parking spaces, as well as retail space, a pool, a fitness center and a spa.

Omni's $273 million contribution makes up approximately 60 percent of funding for the project, which has a total construction budget of $415 million.
