Omni to Re-brand, Renovate Hilton Head Island Resort

Effective Feb. 1, 2012, the Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island, S.C., will become the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, according to Omni Hotels & Resorts, which announced this month that it will re-brand and renovate the property under the terms of a new long-term management agreement.

The resort, which has been managed by Omni's sibling company, Allegiance Hospitality, since 2003, will launch a "significant, multi-phased renovations plan" next year as part of Omni's strategic growth plans, which call for an expansion of the company within the "premier destination resort segment."

Although details of the property's renovation were not announced, the Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort already is the largest resort on Hilton Head Island, with 295 guest rooms and over 15,000 square feet of meeting space.

"We are pleased to put the Omni flag on this resort given its beautiful views, gracious accommodations, broad range of amenities and commitment to the Omni service standards," said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts. "We believe that the property is a natural extension our luxury resort collection and exemplifies our commitment to deliver memorable experiences to our guests."
