Omni Frisco Celebrates Ribbon Cutting in Dallas

Omni Frisco Hotel - Dallas

A month after opening its doors, the Omni Frisco Hotel in Frisco, TX, hosted an official ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday with the Dallas Cowboys, whose corporate headquarters -- a 91-acre campus known as "The Star" -- is served by the new hotel, Omni Hotels & Resorts announced last week.

Three years in the making, the Omni Frisco Hotel has 300 guest rooms and 24,000 square feet of meeting space, including a rooftop pool and deck for up to 400 guests and a 13,000-square-foot ballroom for groups of up to 1,440 people. Adjacent to the hotel is an entertainment district with restaurants and shopping, a 60,000-square-foot luxury gym, and Ford Center, home to a 510,0000-square-foot athletic facility encompassing one indoor and two outdoor practice fields for the Cowboys.

"The Omni Frisco Hotel is truly a focal point of the luxury and entertainment experience we offer here at The Star," said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. "This hotel will cater not only to guests and fans from all over the country, but also the community of Frisco and visitors of The Star and Ford Center. Working with Omni has been a great pleasure and I personally cannot wait to see what the future holds for both of our brands."

During Friday's ribbon cutting, guests were treated to signature cocktails from the Edge Bar, the bar and grill that occupies the hotel's pool deck; light fare from the hotel's lobby bar; bites from the hotel's banquet menu; a visit to Charlotte Jones Collection, an onsite retail store named for Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer Charlotte Jones Anderson; live entertainment from "The Voice" contestant Josh Liberio; and a tour of the hotel's two-bedroom Presidential Suite.

"The Omni Frisco Hotel is the pinnacle of luxury in North Texas and we were thrilled today to welcome our guests from around the community to come and experience the hotel for the first time," said Robert Rowling, owner and chairman of TRT Holdings Inc., the hotel's developer. "It has truly been a pleasure working with the Jones family and the Cowboys organization, as well as the City of Frisco, on this project and we cannot wait to see all the great things that continue to happen here at The Star and Omni Frisco Hotel."
