The new Omni Dallas Hotel, opening across the street from the Dallas Convention Center on Nov. 11, has booked its 250,000th room night, comprised of more than 160 meetings and conventions contracted through 2017, it announced this month.
Additionally, the hotel said construction is nearly complete on several of the property's key meetings features, including the skybridge connecting it to the Dallas Convention Center, as well as its two ballrooms: the 31,733-square-foot Dallas Ballroom and the 15,418-square-foot Trinity Ballroom, which will be able to host events of up to 3,000 and 1,400 people, respectively.
"We are pleased to have created what we believe it the premiere Dallas meeting and events venue," said Ed Netzhammer, managing director of the Omni Dallas Hotel. "We look forward to welcoming associations and corporate groups to come experience all that Dallas now has to offer."
All told, the city-owned hotel will have 1,001 guest rooms and over 110,000 square feet of meeting space — including 21 meeting rooms and two ballrooms — as well as five restaurants, an onsite spa, a fitness center and a rooftop terrace pool deck. Its first convention, the national sales convention for Dallas-based Freeman — which has booked approximately 800 room nights and will bring several clients who are considering Dallas for the site of their next citywide convention — will take place Nov. 13-15.
