Ocean Edge Resort & Club in Brewster, Mass., has announced a new meeting venue that it will debut in March 2009 on Cape Cod. The venue, the Bayside Ballroom, is being marketed as "the largest luxury ballroom and meeting venue on Cape Cod."
Part of a $19.5 million resort-wide renovation and expansion project, the Bayside Ballroom will boast 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space for up to 300 attendees inside a high-end extension of the historic Nickerson Mansion, built in 1906 by Chicago liquor baron Samuel M. Nickerson.
Upon completion of the Bayside Ballroom, the 429-acre Ocean Edge Resort will offer a total of 15,000 square feet of meeting space, including more than a dozen meeting rooms. Among them is the Linx Pavilion, another recent addition. Designed for intimate affairs, the pavilion includes a 2,500-square-foot transparent room and canopy adjacent to the resort's Linx Restaurant, where it sports view of Ocean Edge's new $8.5 million Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.
