The number of events held in Germany increased from 2.46 million in 2009 to 2.69 million last year. This increase follows a drop of 10.9 percent in 2009. In 2010, a total of 323 million delegates attended events in Germany. Approximately 5.8 percent were international participants. These statistics are part of the Meeting and Event Barometer 2011 that was unveiled at IMEX. The survey was conducted by the European Institute for the Meetings Industry and commissioned by EVVC, the German National Tourist Board and the German Convention Bureau.
