From the Panhandle's emerald waters to the capital city of Jacksonville, groups are welcome.

Where to ...
Meet: Omni Amelia Island Plantation

This property finished up a 16-month, $85-million “re-imagining” this spring. This included a new hotel wing and expanded meeting facilities, which now measure more than 80,000 square feet, with an additional 16,825-square-foot ballroom.

Stay: The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club

If you’ve got a family-friendly meeting or incentive planned for northern Florida, it’s worth considering the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, which was voted the “No. 1 Hotel for Families in the U.S.” in Travel & Leisure’s 2013 World Best Awards.

Dine: Emeril’s South Walton

Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse visited South Walton in August for the second season of his Cooking Channel TV show, “Emeril’s Florida,” visiting nine locations from new hotspot Havana Beach at The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach to Seaside’s Airstream Row of food trucks.

The South Walton area’s many beaches have the Panhandle’s white sand, emerald waters, and laid-back atmosphere. This summer, a new level of luxury was added when The Pearl, a 55-room luxury boutique resort, opened on the Gulf Coast’s Rosemary Beach. The waterfront property can accommodate executive groups of up to 90, offering a ballroom, boardroom, and private dining room.

In nearby Sandestin, the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa has launched a $12.5-million renovation of all 200 Spa Tower rooms. It is dramatically enhancing the main lobby’s view of Florida’s Emerald Coast and will unveil new spas and restaurants. The property has 32,000 square feet of meeting space that was renovated earlier this year, with new A/V equipment.

Across the peninsula on the Atlantic, the Aloft Jacksonville Tapestry Park, in Deerwood Park, reopened in August after an extensive renovation. It has 3,600 square feet of divisible meeting space. The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront is renovating all 963 room. It has 110,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach is renovating its golf course villas, suites, lobby, and 56,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
