Anyone who frequents Chicago and has attended meetings near O'Hare International Airport is probably familiar with the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare: Mired for the last two years by bankruptcy proceedings, the property's future has been anything but clear.
That future is now looking much brighter, however, as the hotel has emerged from bankruptcy with new ownership — a new entity formed by the property's lenders — and new management: Hostmark Hospitality Group of Schaumburg, Ill.
"There was uncertainty about future ownership and management as the hotel struggled in bankruptcy for the past two years, but those legal proceedings are behind us," said Peter Connolly, Hostmark's executive vice president of operations and development. "We are confident that under Hostmark's management we can take the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare — which we think already is the best hotel in the O'Hare market — to the next level."
Located just minutes from O'Hare in Rosemont, Ill., the InterContinental O'Hare has 556 guest rooms and more than 53,000 square feet of meeting space.
