New Jersey Welcomes First Element Hotel

Starwood's Element brand has entered New Jersey with the Element Ewing-Hopewell, 10 minutes outside of Princeton, N.J. The property, which like all Element hotels will be LEED certified, has 127 guest rooms and over 2,000 square feet of meeting space.

"We are very excited to launch the first Element Hotel in New Jersey and to offer a newly built and smartly designed longer stay alternative for business and leisure travelers in the Ewing-Hopewell market," Naveen P. Kakarla, executive vice president of Hersha Hospitality Management, the hotel's operator, said in a statement.

In addition to eco-friendly features such as low-flow faucets and fixtures, compact fluorescent light bulbs and energy-efficient appliances, as well as a curbside charging station for electric vehicles, the hotel features a gourmet pantry, fitness center and chlorine-free pool, not to mention in-room amenities such as modular furniture and custom-designed closets.
