The sales team at the forthcoming Westin Denver International Airport hotel, opening in November 2015 adjacent to Denver International Airport (DIA), is attracting planners with a unique offering: The hotel has established a special "Founders' Club" for meeting planners who book business at the property prior to its debut.
Founders' Club members will receive one complimentary room-night for a premier view room, which includes a $50 hotel credit to be used in the hotel's restaurant; two exclusive invitations for the hotel opening gala; and two complimentary public transit passes for transport between Westin DIA and Denver's Union Station.
Additionally, members will receive the following lifetime rewards: 10 percent off best available rate for personal travel when staying at Westin DIA; complimentary upgrades when available; complimentary basic HSIA with up to five devices; 10 percent off all personal food and beverage; 10 percent off all group food and beverage for groups of 10 or more; 10 percent off all A/V for groups of 10 or more; 10 percent off meeting space pricing for groups of 10 or more; 10 percent off Internet pricing in meeting space for groups of 10 or more; and the opportunity to serve as a lifetime Westin DIA Founders' Club Advisory member.
Upon opening, the Westin DIA will have 14 stories, 519 guest rooms, a fitness studio, an indoor swimming pool, a signature restaurant, and a 37,000-square-foot conference center with a grand ballroom, a junior ballroom, and 15 breakout rooms. As of spring 2016, when a new airport segment of Denver's RTD light rail opens, the hotel also will feature a public transit link to downtown Denver.
"We have enormous interest in this hotel," said Rob Ferguson, Westin DIA's director of sales and marketing. "We believe that the hotel's unique design, incredible meeting space with spectacular views, and the location connected to the country's fifth largest airport will make us the most coveted hotel in the area for years to come."
