New Company Curates Unique New York Meeting Spaces

New York meeting planners have a new resource to tap in their search for unusual meeting venues: Founders Marc and Sara Schiller have launched a new company — MEET: The Meeting Solutions Company — that specializes in curating “inspiring and creative” meeting spaces, they announced yesterday.

MEET is an offshoot of the Schillers’ first foray, a SoHo loft that they converted into a 2,500-square foot meeting space known as MEET at The Apartment. At launch, the company’s collection of venues — some of which have never been available to the public — includes photo art book publisher Aperture’s West Chelsea office, Pioneer Works Center for Art and Innovation exhibition space and outdoor garden in Red Hook, Stollway’s working knitting factory in the heart of the Garment district and the private alumni club of Williams College in a transformed six-story townhouse.

“Corporate boardrooms and hotel conference rooms are no longer what companies want,” Sara Schiller said in a statement. “Successful meetings happen when people are put into creative, comfortable and inspiring environments. Our mission is to curate the most interesting locations across the city and then open them up to corporate meetings for the very first time.”
