The 45-room Monterey Hotel has begun an $8-million expansion project aimed at adding needed amenities while preserving the hotel's early 20th century charm.
Set to be completed in the spring of 2008, upgrades will add 24 guest rooms and 454 sf of meeting space designed for up to 40 people, as well as a 1,500 sf fitness facility and spa.
