Last week, Caesars Entertainment Corp. held the official grand opening of its new Waterfront Conference Center at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City.
Caesars is betting big on the new 100,000-square-foot meeting facility, which it sees as the first major step in transforming -- and reviving -- Atlantic City's gaming resorts by bringing in the meetings, conventions and events business that has proven so successful in Las Vegas. Indeed, the company held its annual client event on the weekend of the Waterfront Conference Center's opening, bringing in hundreds of its best clients from around the country for an event it normally holds in Las Vegas.
At that event, Successful Meetings caught up with Michael Massari, senior vice president of national meetings and events for Caesars Entertainment, and talked about how the Waterfront Conference Center can change the Northeast meetings market and how the meetings industry has reacted.
