The Memphis Cook Convention Center has partnered with the Memphis Marriott Downtown in order to design simplified event packages for event planners. The new packages, it hopes, will streamline negotiations with event planners who are booking banquets and other one-day events."We are taking a new approach with local special events in an effort to make the process much more convenient and simple," Pierre Landaiche, general manager of the convention center, said in a statement. "Our clients achieve flexibility because the packages can meet various budgetary requirements. The new Memphis meeting packages include silver, gold and platinum bundles, one for every price points. Each bundle includes a ready-made luncheon or dinner package that covers important event details such as menu options, room rental, parking and service staff.Concluded Emily Lynn, director of convention center sales: "As a former event planner, I can tell you a lot of thought was put into creating packages that encompass the largest factors a planner faces."
