Whether you're planning a conference, convention, or meeting, Las Vegas offers an impressive array of upscale accommodations with truly unique meeting and event space. You also get quality planning assistance from the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, from knowledgeable DMCs, and well-trained, on-property staff.
Truly Unique Meeting and Event Space
In Las Vegas, there is an exceptional variety of places to chose from for meetings and events. MGM Resorts International properties have some of the coolest options:
•Seascape Ballroom: Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay: Dive into your meeting agenda with a stunning backdrop of aquatic creatures. Huge, picture windows bring the serenity of the sea to this magnificent, 1,675-square-foot space. There is an outdoor patio and lounge for breakouts.
•Topgolf at MGM Grand: Do some teambuilding without breaking a sweat. This venue has 108 climate-controlled hitting bays that each host up to six players (golf clubs included), two pools, VIP cabanas & suites, bars, and special-event menus.
•Minus5 Ice Bar & Lodge: Break the ice over cocktails. To enter this unique arctic experience, the group gets faux-fur coats, gloves, and cute hats. "Corporate groups love it," says Jennifer Mahar, owner of Eventure, Meeting & Event Specialists. "It's fun, plus there are plenty of branding opportunities: signature cocktails in the company's colors, the company logo carved into ice sculptures, and keepsake, custom-logo hats." Afterwards, everyone warms up by the fireplace in the rustic lodge area.
•Bellagio's Tuscany Kitchen: Since Bellagio is home to several James Beard award-winning chefs and wine experts, this venue offers culinary demonstrations, cooking classes, and food-and-wine pairing lessons and tastings. This exhibition kitchen was designed with meeting and convention groups in mind and is good for everything from teambuilding activities to formal receptions and group dinners.
"Las Vegas is blessed with an abundance of choice when it comes to luxury accommodations and unique event spaces," comments Jackie Dennis of the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority. "And, there's always something exciting in the works. The Wynn is developing a new shopping promenade, The Cosmopolitan is designing new upmarket penthouses, the Monte Carlo is being turned into a luxury resort called Park MGM. Then, there are some new properties breathing life into the North End of the Strip. So, even if you've brought your group here before, you can come back and have a totally different, wonderful experience."
Sleek Suites
The trend here is sky-high suites with views of downtown Las Vegas along with swanky villas and bungalows. The hotel-within-a-hotel concept provides VIP check-in for attendees. Here's a sampling of the possibilities:
•Caesars' Anthology Suites & Villas: Caesars Entertainment threw open the doors to some of the over-the-top suites once reserved for high rollers, such as the 11,200-square-foot Titus Villa at Caesars Palace or the one- to six-bedroom Palazzo Suites at Rio Las Vegas.
•SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand: Elegant, two-story accommodations with top-of-the-line amenities and floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of Las Vegas' famous skyline. Pre-arrival concierge, exclusive check-in, and 24-hour butler service. Terrace Lofts have balconies, a private plunge pool, and an adjacent state-of-the-art fitness room.
•West-End Penthouse at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas: Decorated with rich, handwoven fabrics and a distinctive art collection, these penthouses range from 2,400 to 3,700 square feet in two- and three-bedroom configurations. Each features advanced technology, and floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views; some also have terraces.
