Marriott Cancun Collection Refreshing Its Guest Rooms

The Marriott Cancun Collection, made up of adjoined sister properties the Marriott Cancun Resort and the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa, announced today guest room renovations that, when completed, will total over $40 million.

The 450-room Marriott Cancun Resort has just finished updating its guest rooms after a three-month-long project. The new rooms have upgraded lighting, bathtubs have been replaced with large glass showers and rainforest shower heads, and granite vanity tops with chrome fixtures have been installed. The renovated Caribbean suites and executive suites include wraparound balconies outfitted with chaise lounges, tables and chairs.

This summer, the 448-room JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa began its guest room refresh, which will feature reclaimed wood accents, free-standing soaking tubs and rainforest showers.

The beachfront resorts, located in the Hotel Zone of Cancun, Mexico, that comprise the Marriott Cancun Collection offer nine international restaurants and over 80,000-square-feet of meeting space, including 2,000-square-feet of beachfront event space. For large-scale events, planners may opt for a property buyout, which would include both properties.
