A luxury designed Spa is the newest addition to The Barceló Maya Beach Resort in Mexico. The all-inclusive resort complex that includes the Premium Level five-star Barceló Maya Tropical and Colonial Beach Hotels is adding a 296,000 square meter luxury spa with Mayan influenced architecture and European style spa services. The facility will open this December in time for the winter travel season.
The new Spa is located in a garden area of the resort and treatment services will include Swedish and Mayan style massage, couples massage, flotation therapy, hydrotherapy and Vichy showers. In addition, there will be a traditional Mayan Temazal Lodge (a traditional Indian sweat lodge). Other services include eight outdoor cabins for tropical massages, and full beauty services such as facials, manicures, pedicures and hairstyling. For relaxation there is a resting area with an indoor waterfall overlooking the gardens.
Adjacent to the spa is an expanded fitness center. The new spa and fitness center is connected via covered archway to the existing fitness center which will now house the weight and fitness room. Spa services will be available by reservation and at an additional fee for the resort’s all-inclusive guests.
The Resort is comprised of four all-inclusive hotels that collectively offer nearly 2,000 guestrooms: the Premium Level Barceló Maya Tropical and Colonial Beach Hotels, as well as the Barceló Maya Beach and Caribe Hotels.
For meetings, the Barceló Maya Beach Resort is the largest conference facility in the region with more than 23,000 square feet of conference space in two convention facilities that provide full service catering and conference amenities.
