To better serve meeting planners and travel professionals, the Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau has introduced a new Web site, www.lcvb.info
, where they can access information about the city's tourism industry, it announced last month.
Organized into several distinct areas—economic impact, conventions and meetings, leisure travel, annual report and marketing plans—the site features a blog from Louisville CVB President and CEO Jim Wood and offers information on travel trends, statistics and news from within and around the Louisville region.
"The mission of the Louisville CVB is to enhance Louisville's economy through tourism—to position and sell our community worldwide, in partnership with the public and private sector, as a premier destination for conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings, group tours and individual leisure travel," Wood said in a statement. "Our new lcvb.info Web site and blog provides one more avenue for communicating the details of our business to our constituents."
The CVB will continue to maintain its original Web site, www.gotolouisville.com
, for its customers, including meeting planners, business travelers, leisure travelers and group tour operators. The new site, however, will feature additional, business-focused resources for industry stakeholders and professionals.
