Long Island Marriott Completes $21 Million Conference Center Renovation

The Long Island Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Uniondale, N.Y., has recently completed a $21 million renovation to its accommodations and public spaces, it announced this month. Adjacent to the Nassau Coliseum, the hotel now features 618 renovated guestrooms and 25 renovated meeting rooms.

Among the hotel's most significant improvements is its new lobby. Called the "Skylight Lounge," it's been redesigned into distinct zones in which guests can work, relax or socialize.

Said the hotel in a statement, "The Long Island Marriott's new lobby features a 'Social Zone' with inviting, comfortable couches perfect for group meeting; the 'Library Zone' with a quiet working environment suitable for the business traveler; and the 'At Your Service Zone' to accommodate arrival and departure needs."

In addition to the lobby, the Long Island Marriott has also completely renovated its 28,000 square feet of meeting space, investing in new carpet, wall coverings, lights and chandeliers, as well as a new state-of-the-art sound system.

Finally, the Marriott has renovated its guestrooms, outfitting them with new bedding and high-speed Internet access.
