Colorado's Lion Square Lodge Completes Meeting Space Renovation in Vail

Right about now, the town of Vail, Colo., is getting ready for the busy ski season ahead. And thanks in part to a just-completed meeting-space renovation at Lion Square Lodge, it's also getting ready for a busy season of meetings and event.

"Over the past few years, Lion Square Lodge has undergone a number of significant renovations to offer guests a fresh mountain experience. From a major exterior overhaul to a new restaurant and upgraded units, modern luxury is behind every corner. We're extremely excited to ... breathe new life into the property's impressive meeting space," said Bill Anderson, vice president of operations, West region, for Wyndham Vacation Rentals, which manages Lion Square Lodge.

Located at the base of Vail Mountain, the ski-in/ski-out property offers 115 guest rooms, ski and snowboard rentals, a Latin American restaurant, a pool, hot tubs, a dry sauna and a fitness center.

For events, it has 5,700 square feet of function space divided amongst a foyer and four meeting rooms, two of which boast floor-to-ceiling windows and a walkout balcony with panoramic views of Vail Mountain. Designed by Denver-based Woodland Lane Design, the rooms' $1.25 million makeover included: new decorative ceilings with new LED lighting and wall sconces; upgraded finishes throughout, including new carpet, wood trim, paint, furniture and artwork; and upgraded IT and A/V systems.

"The project designs are inspired by Vail's natural beauty and the elegant comfort that Lion Square Lodge provides its guests," Anderson concluded. "Leather, wood and stone elements bring the mountains inside, along with photography and paintings of the area's greatest scenes. It's this destination meeting experience that leaves an impression, whether you're in the middle of a meeting or taking a break outside on one of the nearby trails."
