Nestled among the coastal foothills of Carlsbad, La Costa Resort and Spa recently completed a top-to-bottom, multi-million-dollar redevelopment. It now boasts the newly designed Spa La Costa, completely remodeled guestrooms, a Clubhouse with a fitness center, the Costa Del Sol Ballroom, and two restaurants. La Costa’s two championship golf courses have also been enhanced.
Furthermore, kids visiting La Costa have the opportunity to explore geological formations, known and unknown creatures from the deep sea, and a magical forest. The themes are all part of Kidtopia, La Costa’s new club for kids, and Vibz, an interactive teen lounge. The two new facilities, which will encompass a combined total of 6,000 square feet, will offer a unique, exciting and educational experience for children ages 6 months to 16 years.
Kidtopia and Vibz are centrally located near La Costa’s lobby and Athletic Club. A secure check-in area will allow parents ease of access to the facility and the assurance that their kids are under the protective care of La Costa’s trained staff.
Kidtopia will be divided into three areas based upon age groups: 6 months to two years; two to four years; and four to 12 years. Each area will contain interactive attractions such as a tree house, dance floor, large saltwater aquarium, small animal display, high-tech entertainment stations with computers, and an endless selection of games and toys.
In addition, 14 programming modules are currently being developed which will bring to life themes from La Costa’s coastal locale as well as reputation for a sporting/active/healthy lifestyle. Vibz, an interactive teen lounge will cater to 10-16 year olds with an X-Box® gaming lounge, a video entertainment center and games galore.
