Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will open its third Colorado property late next year, joining Hotel Monaco Denver and the Sky Hotel in Aspen, it announced last week.
The new hotel — which hasn’t yet been named — will have 200 guest rooms, 8,300 square feet of meeting space, outdoor and rooftop patios, a 2,000-square-foot fitness center, and two chef-driven restaurants and bars.
Located in downtown Denver’s “LoDo” neighborhood, the property is part of a mixed-use redevelopment project currently underway in and around Denver’s historic Union Station. Upon completion, the project will include office, commercial, retail and residential space, as well as several public plazas and a central transportation serving trains, buses and bikes.
“Denver’s Union Station Neighborhood and the revitalization efforts underway … are creating a world-class destination for the city, and we are thrilled for Kimpton to be a part of that,” Kimpton CEO Mike Depatie said in a statement. “We have plenty of experience bringing the signature Kimpton boutique experience to new and emerging urban neighborhoods and this looks to be a perfect fit for what we offer both business and leisure travelers.”
