Kessler Collection Plans July 24 Opening for New Savannah Hotel

The Kessler Collection has announced a July 24 opening for its newest luxury boutique hotel, The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront in Savannah, Ga.

The new property, which is the first new hotel overlooking the Savannah River to open in 17 years, is The Kessler Collection's second Savannah property, behind the AAA Four-Diamond Mansion on Forsyth Park. When it opens next week it will have nine stories, 75 guest rooms and suites, and an executive-style board room for meetings of up to 20 people.

"I have always dreamed about opening a world-class boutique hotel on Savannah's historic riverfront and am thrilled to see that dream become a reality," The Kessler Enterprise Chairman and CEO Richard C. Kessler said in a statement. "Travelers can expect the high-quality accommodations, outstanding service and incredible cuisine they have enjoyed while staying at The Mansion on Forsyth Park or at any of our fine properties."

In addition to its board room, The Bohemian will offer space for events of up to 166 in its on-site restaurant, up to 20 in the private dining room of that restaurant and up to 110 in its rooftop lounge. Thanks to a special partnership, larger events will be able to take place at The Mansion on Forsyth Park.

Although the hotel features a contemporary design, which was approved by Savannah's historic review board, it is also reminiscent of 18th century Savannah, when British settlers first landed on the bluff above the Savannah River.

"We paid respect to Savannah's rich history throughout the design of The Bohemian Hotel," said The Kessler Collection Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Relations Mark Kessler. "The Bohemian boasts the same attention to detail as our other hotels. From the architecture to the design, The Bohemian will set a new standard of excellence along Savannah's riverfront."
