Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts has opened a new Courtyard by Marriott hotel near Omaha, in La Vista, Neb., it announced this month.
Part of Hammons' La Vista Complex—which includes the 100,000-square-foot La Vista Conference Center and the 257-room Embassy Suites Omaha-La Vista—the new Courtyard by Marriott Omaha-La Vista features Marriott's newest Courtyard design with 246 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant, an on-site fitness center, an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, a business center and a 24-hour convenience store.
"Pre-opening sales indicate significant interest in the hotel," General Manager Maher Sufian said in a statement. "Our implementation of Courtyard's new look, the property's ideal location and its connection to the La Vista Conference Center create a winning formula."
La Vista Mayor Douglas Kindig agrees. "With the opening of a high-quality John Q. Hammons hotel and the La Vista Conference Center last year, the city is already realizing the positive impact that a development like this brings to a community," he said. "La Vista is extremely excited about the addition of the Courtyard by Marriott, another Hammons project, to this complex and the opportunities that continue to occur as a result of Mr. Hammons' commitment to La Vista and this project."
The Courtyard by Marriott Omaha-La Vista is Hammons' fourth hotel in Nebraska. For more information about it, visit www.omahalavistacourtyard.com
