Next Monday will see the opening of the new Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons in Ithaca, NY, Marriott International announced today.
Located on Aurora Street, Ithaca's "Restaurant Row," the full-service hotel will have 159 guest rooms, an indoor-outdoor restaurant, a fitness center, and 2,300 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom for up to 175 people and three meeting rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Commons, the three-block pedestrian mall that constitutes the core of downtown Ithaca.
"Marriott Hotels has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation in travel to create experiences that inspire and push our guests' creativity," said Matthew Carroll, vice president, Marriott Hotels. "This beautiful new hotel is a perfect example and we know visitors will be thrilled."
Along with Restaurant Row and the Commons, the hotel is located near Cornell University, Ithaca College, and Tompkins Regional Airport -- all three of which will be serviced via a complimentary shuttle -- not to mention Cayuga Lake, the longest of the Finger Lakes.
"My team of seasoned professionals can't wait to welcome our first guests when we open our doors on Dec. 12," said General Manager Cathy Hart. "Ithaca Marriott will be the best-in-class hotel for this dynamic city in one of the most inspiring regions of New York State."
