The boutique hotel trend has officially arrived in Indianapolis, according to developer Hendricks Commercial Properties, which this week announced the opening of Ironworks Hotel Indy, the first boutique hotel on the north side of Indianapolis.
Located adjacent to the Ironworks at Keystone -- a mixed-used development that includes nearly 36,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space and 120 residential apartments -- the 100,000-square-foot hotel features a 19th-century industrial theme. It has 120 guest rooms, a lunch/dinner restaurant, a fitness center, and three meeting spaces totaling 1,150 square feet.
It also has 15,000 square feet of street-level retail space, tenants in which include a massage studio, a sushi restaurant, and a breakfast/lunch restaurant that also offers catering.
"We are ecstatic to open our doors in Indiana and provide guests with an exceptional boutique hotel experience," said Rob Gerbitz, president and CEO of Hendricks Commercial Properties. "Every decision for this hotel -- from the architecture to the aroma to the bed sheets -- was made with our guests at top of mind. We want Ironworks Hotel Indy to be a must-visit for local residents and those traveling to the city, and we can't wait to serve our visitors."
