Hyatt Hotels will open a new hotel, the Hyatt Times Square, in New York City in 2013, the hotel's developer, Extell Development Company, announced last week.
The 54-story, four-star hotel will stand 550 feet high and will offer 487 guest rooms, as well as a lobby bar, a three-meal restaurant, a rooftop terrace, a Sky-lounge, a six-treatment room spa, a fitness center and an unspecified amount of meeting space, complete with an "oversized" adjacent terrace.
Situated on West 45th Street between Broadway and 6th Avenue, the hotel's Midtown location will provide easy access to Broadway shows, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park and The New York Public Library, not to mention the Empire State Building, Central Park, Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden.
"We are eager to complete the construction of Hyatt Times Square," said Gary Barnett, president of Extell. "This unique hotel offering will provide travelers convenient access to some of New York's most iconic and popular destinations."
