Hyatt to Open New Chicago Hotel in 2015

Hyatt Hotels Corp. will open a new Hyatt hotel — Hyatt The Loop Chicago — in 2015 near its Chicago headquarters, it recently announced. Located in downtown Chicago’s “Loop” central business district, the hotel will have 257 guest rooms, a three-meal restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar and lounge, a coffee shop, a fitness center and eight meeting rooms totaling more than 5,000 square feet.

“Chicago is a world-class city and key business and leisure destination, and while we have Hyatt-branded hotels throughout the city, Hyatt The Loop Chicago will add a wonderful new option for travelers visiting the heart of the city’s business and financial district,” Mark Chase, vice president, real estate and development, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement.

Construction on the new hotel is scheduled to begin later this year. Upon opening, it will be Chicago’s sixth Hyatt hotel, joining the Park Hyatt Chicago, Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile and Hyatt Place Chicago/River North.
