In order to appeal to the Jewish community, the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis has created a new Kosher Kitchen that includes a separate onsite banquet kitchen and a full kosher menu, it recently announced.
Led by Executive Chef Aaron Hagerdorn, who observes Orthodox traditions when developing kosher cuisine, the new Kosher Kitchen will accommodate individual guests’ dietary needs, as well as cater kosher events. Its dedicated space near the hotel’s ballroom includes all stainless-steel appliances and houses two sets of small kitchen equipment and utensils, all of which were blessed by Rabbi Shimon Perez of the Kehila Kashruth of Minnesota.
Sample dishes include a Mediterranean station with assorted olives, flat breads and house-made hummus, as well as desserts like babkas and rugelechs.
