Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is one of the busiest airports in the country. Now the Hyatt Regency LAX is looking to make the airport a busy meetings destination too: on Jan. 1, 2017, it will open a new conference center.
The area's only conference center, the new Hyatt Regency Conference Center will offer over 10,000 square feet of meeting space on the ground level of the hotel, just steps from LAX's Terminal 1 and adjacent to a large self-parking garage. It will include several boardrooms, as well as larger meeting rooms capable of accommodating up to 170 people -- all with high-speed wireless Internet, state-of-the-art projector screens, and conference tables with power outlets.
Combined with the hotel's 25 existing meeting rooms and 14,000-square-foot ballroom, the addition will bring the hotel's meeting space to 50,000 square feet.
"Hyatt Regency LAX has always been a favorite location for small to medium-sized corporate meetings and social events, especially given our central location and proximity to LAX," said Hyatt Regency LAX Managing Director Jeff Rostek. "We are excited that, as part of our recent transformation, we can now offer new, fully-upgraded spaces to provide our meeting and event guests with state-of-the-art technology and upscale, thoughtfully-appointed event spaces."
