Hyatt Regency Chicago to Complete Massive Renovation in April

Chicago’s largest hotel, the 2,019-room Hyatt Regency Chicago, will unveil a $168 million renovation in April, encompassing its lobby, guest rooms, meeting spaces and dining outlets, it announced last week.

Phases one and two of the three-phase project were completed in 2010 and 2011, respectively, and included an overhaul of all guest rooms in the hotel’s East and West towers. Phase three, which will conclude the project this spring, includes a re-imagined lobby with an art wall, new décor, iPad check-in services, and check-in pods and kiosks; over 228,000 square feet of renovated meeting facilities; and four new/re-concepted dining options.

“We truly listened to our guests, and in turn, several aspects of this renovation were incorporated as a direct result of guest feedback,” General Manager Patrick Donnelly said in a statement. “We are excited to provide our guests an even better experience.”
