A new Hyatt Place hotel, the Hyatt Place Pittsburgh-North Shore, has opened just outside of downtown Pittsburgh, where it has 178 guest rooms and over 2,500 square feet of meeting space, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts announced this month.
"As Pittsburgh continues to grow and thrive economically, we are excited to add to the momentum by welcoming the third Hyatt Place property to the area," said General Manager Chris Chesebrough. "Whether we are catering to business travelers or leisure travelers, we know that our guests will appreciate the comfortable and functional amenities offered at Hyatt Place Pittsburgh-North Shore."
Located less than a quarter-mile from the downtown branches of several major corporations, including Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Del Monte Foods, IBM, H.J. Heinz Company and PPG, the new hotel features a fitness center, a 24/7 "guest kitchen" serving made-to-order snacks and entrees, as well as a bakery café serving Starbucks coffee, beer and wine.
"Within the Pittsburgh area, there are so many options for guests, whether it is a business traveler in town for a meeting, a sports fanatic catching a weekend football game, or a tourist looking to explore the rich history and culture of the city," said B. Anthony Isaac, President of LodgeWorks, L.P., the property's management company. "No matter the reason, we are excited to provide a perfect mix of style, service and amenities that we know will exceed guest expectations."
