Holiday Inn has opened its first and only Walt Disney World hotel in Orlando, where it's part of the resort's Downtown Disney area, InterContinental Hotels Group announced last month.
The hotel, which is the latest property to open as part of Holiday Inn's $1 billion global brand re-launch, has 14 stories, 323 guest rooms and over 11,000 square feet of meeting space.
"There is no more exhilarating feeling than opening a family-friendly Holiday Inn resort, on Disney property and hiring more than 100 employees to welcome our community and guests," General Manager Tony Johnson said in a statement. "Our opening could not come at a better time, with a brand that customers know and trust. Being on Disney property and maintaining high standards will assure we achieve the highest marks possible from our customers and our industry."
Other amenities at the new hotel include a 24-hour fitness complex, a jogging and exercise path, a zero-entry heated pool, a sun deck and a game room.
