The Hilton Omaha in downtown Omaha, Neb., has completed a $37 million renovation encompassing 150 new guest rooms and a new ballroom for larger groups, it announced this month. As a result, the hotel now has 600 guest rooms instead of 450, and over 39,000 square feet of meeting space.
"Omaha is evolving into a world-class meeting and leisure destination — alive with energy and spirit," said General Manager Robert Watson. "Hilton Omaha wanted to capture that energy and spirit and incorporate it into our renovations for an enhanced hotel experience. Our accommodations now include fresh elements that help our guests relax and recharge."
In addition to adding new guest rooms, the hotel has completely renovated its existing accommodations. "We really thought about our guests with this renovation by including improved guest room high-speed wireless Internet access, comfortable guest room chairs, refrigerators and in-room safes," Watson said.
The hotel's new ballroom, the Blackstone ballroom, totals 7,000 square feet and includes a 3,500-square-foot pre-function space. It can be divided into equal sections and features 20-foot ceilings with glass pendant-style chandeliers.
Finally, the hotel has added 100 additional parking spaces, updated its lobby décor, and refurbished its health club and spa with new fitness equipment and a saltwater pool.
