The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, which has undergone more than $90 million in renovations since 2011, recently debuted a number of new rejuvenaation projects and enhancements to its 22-acre property.

Most recently, the property debuted a complete redesign of its iconic Bali Steak & Seafood and Paradise Lounge and its Tapa Bar, as well as a new lobby and arrival experience. In January 2013, the property debuted the completion of a seven-month, $25.5-million refurbishment of its 323-room Ali'i Tower. Prior to that, the Hilton Hawaiian Village completed a $45-million renovation of its Rainbow Tower in December 2011.

“It’s important to us that we continue to keep our resort product fresh for guests,” said Jerry Gibson, area vice president of Hilton Hawaii. “All of the updates provide a sophisticated, modern backdrop to our distinct Hawaiian hospitality, amenities and programs that our guests return year after year to experience.”

Bali Steak & Seafood and Paradise Lounge
San Francisco- based Puccini Group spearheaded the redesign of the hotel's Bali Steak & Seafood and Paradise Lounge to feature Balinese-inspired fabrics and textures.

New Executive Chef JJ Reinhart has also debuted a new  menu  concept -- “Island Harvest Cuisine” -- that showcases Hawaiian flavors through locally sourced ingredients. “We’re staying true to generational recipes while sourcing locally from within the Hawaiian Islands whenever possible,” said Reinhart. The restaurant will also feature signature steak sauces and new menu items such as Lobster Carpaccio.

“In the past, Bali Steak & Seafood was known as a fine dining destination,” said  Reinhart. “With the new look and menu, we’ve evolved into a modern dining destination with the same impeccable service, but a more approachable experience featuring the talents of our local farmers and purveyors.”

The new Paradise Lounge area is located within Bali Steak & Seafood.

New Arrival Experience
The new lobby design is set up as a relaxed lounge-style reception and seating area with views of Waikiki Beach.

Tapa Bar
The new look of the Tapa Bar was inspired by its name – the ancient art of Tapa (or Kapa in Hawaiian) clothmaking. It also features a brand-new cocktail menu designed by mixologist Christina Maffei.
