A new Hilton Garden Inn has opened in Perrysburg, Ohio, south of Toledo. The hotel, which has 184 rooms, 10 suites and 18,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, is Ohio's 16th Hilton Garden Inn.
"The opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Toledo/Perrysburg location is a perfect example of how well our brand fits with growing communities and also shows how travelers are seeking upscale mid-priced accommodations that are ideal for both business and leisure," Adrian Kurre, Hilton Garden Inn's senior vice president of brand management, said in a statement.
With seven stories, the Hilton Garden Inn Toledo/Perrysburg offers business travelers complimentary wireless Internet access in all guestrooms and public spaces, as well as access to a 24-hour business center. Additionally, the new hotel features a public lounge with a fireplace, an indoor pool and whirlpool, and a fitness center.
Meanwhile, for groups and meeting planners the hotel offers 18,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including an event center and a 10,000-square-foot ballroom that can accommodate as many as 800 people.
Although Perrysburg is semi-rural, the new hotel is located in Levis Commons, a local commercial center that includes shopping, dining and entertainment. "The Hilton Garden Inn Toledo/Perrysburg is perfectly situated in the heart of Levis Commons at the Entertainment District," Bob Voelker, president of the hotel's management company, Gateway Hospitality Group, said in a statement. "When I saw Levis, I just knew we would be successful here. Everything you need is right at the front door step. Not many hotels can offer this kind of vibrant environment along with the shopping and dining options in a somewhat rural setting like Perrysburg. You don't need to leave Levis for anything."
