Hilton Brooklyn New York Opens

Hilton Brooklyn New York has opened in the borough's Boerum Hill neighborhood. The hotel features 196 guestrooms and suites, 2,300 square feet of dedicated function space, a restaurant, and a 24-hour fitness center.

"This opening is the latest example of Hilton's growing presence in the world's most sought-after destinations," said Shawn McAteer, vice president, global brand management, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. "With its prime location and on-site restaurant and bar helmed by one of the borough's most celebrated chefs, Rob Newton, guests will immediately feel in the heart of it all in this thriving community."

Black Walnut, Rob Newton's fourth restaurant in Brooklyn, reflects both his Arkansas roots and years of global travel.

The Hilton Brooklyn New York is located near Barclays Center, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It is located within walking distance of 12 different subway lines.

An interesting aspect of the hotel's design is its rope motif, which pays tribute to the rope factory that occupied the site in the 19th century, braiding rope for  the city's shipbuilding industry.
